There are calls for an urgent investigation into the funding of the Brexit Party. https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/top-stories/gordon-brown-on-brexit-party-dirty-money-1-6059760 …
"Democracy is fatally undermined if unexplained, unreported and thus undeclared, and perhaps under-the-counter and underhand, campaign finance - from whom and from where we do not know - is being used to influence the very elections that are at the heart of our democratic system.”
*Must Listen* Lucy Harris(#BrexitParty candidate) - I think short-term there will be an effect on the economy. Nicky Campbell - How long is short term? Lucy Harris - 30 years. #WTF #peoplesvote #EUelections2019 @Femi_Sorry #FinalSay
How does ANYONE think that this is OK? How can this candidate (or anyone else) know the likely outcome and still think Brexit is a good idea? For what? Some vague notion of reclaiming the sovereignty we never lost? #Revoke #Remain
I'm going to try to avoid talking strategy. Your job is getting everyone you know to VOTE. That means speaking to every young person in your life. Your kids, your students, the new employee at work etc. We win this by getting General-Election-level turnout. #EUElections2019 https://twitter.com/MSmithsonPB/status/1127803270104326144 …
UKIP (ultra brexit) -70% 💀 CON (hard brexit) -25% 🤯 LAB (sneaky brexit) -10% 🤬 LD (Remain) +110% 😆 GRN (Remain) +550% 😆 @bbclaurak analysis: "This could mean people want to just get on with Brexit" 🤪
If a long extension leaves us stuck in the EU we should be as difficult as possible. We could veto any increase in the budget, obstruct the putative EU army and block Mr Macron’s integrationist schemes.
Support for a People's Vote continues to grow. A majority of the public now want the final say on Brexit, with the option to remain. Help us end this Brexit stalemate now by fighting for a People's Vote #indicativevotes2 http://www.libdems.org.uk/exit-brexit
The Brexiters blame Remainers. They blame the civil service. They blame the EU27. They blame so-called "elites". They blame everyone but themselves: the very people who cooked up Brexit, sold it as all things to all people, and now cry betrayal when reality intervenes.
Blame us. Blame Westminster. Do not blame Brussels for our own country's mistakes and do not be angry at us for telling you the truth. Be angry at the chancers who sold you a lie. In full: Why I'm voting against Brexit today and calling for a #PeoplesVote
Margaret Beckett - Think of the consequences if this house forces an outcome on the people of this country that they no longer desire... it's the British people who should now decide what comes next. #StopBrexit #RevokeArticle50 #PMQs
Appeal to EP: You should be open to a long extension, if the UK wishes to rethink its strategy. 6 million people signed the petition, 1 million marched. They may not feel sufficiently represented by UK Parliament but they must feel represented by you. Because they are Europeans.
In an ironic twist it’s now the #EUCO President Tusk who most represents the voice of the British people whilst our own government continues to hold it’s fingers in it’s ears. Thank you @eucopresident 🇬🇧🇪🇺
