Brutally simple on #Inequality #delusion, and how it rots #society and #democracy (cf #Trump and #Brexit). It’s not really the 1%, it’s the 9.9%. The 99% Is a Myth—Here's How It Really Breaks Down https://youtu.be/hb28kAavh0M via @YouTube
The problem with Human Rights is hat they apply to everyone not just nice cuddly people. And the problem with breaching them against nasty folk is that you've then stripped em from the nice
if both the deputy party leader and the shadow Brexit secretary are banned from Labour Brexit meetings i don't see why there have to be meetings at all, surely it's then just a bunch of yes-men in a room, eh @jeremycorbyn @SeumasMilne @LenMcCluskey? 😒
We’re already doing it in Australia and yep. This is not going to end with Isis members. Not by a long shot.
you can't surrender human rights

It’s not really about defending Shamima Begum, but about defending the rule of law and human rights.
I really, really hate the idea of defending someone like Shamima Begum. I vociferously hate ISIS and everything they stand for. But the Home Secretary is abusing his powers by stripping someone off their British citizenship. It sets a very dangerous precedent.
Whenever I think @juliahb1 might have a point, or be worth anyone’s respect, I remember how @MarieAnnUK owned her with this exchange. “Bless you sweetheart” said Julia, then got her simple sums wrong, then went quiet! But then #Brexit doesn’t add up either.
Hi @JuliaHB1 could you please explain why you don't care enough about democracy to condemn the £10m of criminal electoral cheating by Leave in the 2016 EU ref?
We know why.
Honda's car plant closure in Swindon is being reported across Asia as 'Another Brexit Retreat' #HondaSwindon
Funny how they have conveniently forgotten all this in three years.
#Brexit: May rules out 'Malthouse' (for reasons first known mid 2017). AND “the general mood in the [Cabinet] room had noticeably turned against #NoDeal as a negotiating tactic.” Well Halle-fucking-lujah. Finally our #Govt has graduated from kindergarten.

Where are the new employers? The Brexit businesses? Where are the opportunities from Brexit? Please share some good news rather than moaning about remainers.
That feeling when you’re at a BnB and suddenly realise a bad-tempered extraterrestrial is toilet-paper monitor. #TuesdayThoughts

You see, when you spend 70 billion dollars a year helping working American families raise their kids, it’s socialism, but when you spend the same amount shooting brown people with guns, it’s Freedom™️.
Oh look. Why Honda is set to shut its Swindon factory - written by people who actually *know* about the car industry. Spoiler alert: they make diesel cars at that factory & no one wants to buy them anymore. https://www.autocar.co.uk/opinion/industry/opinion-why-honda-set-shut-its-swindon-factory …
Honda spokesman: “For financial year 2018/19, the breakdown of cars built at Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd is Diesel 6% and Petrol 94%.”
Panasonic goes "its not about Brexit" Dyson goes "its not about Brexit" Nissan goes "its not about Brexit" Schaeffler goes "its not about Brexit" 50 chemical companies go "its not about Brexit" Honda goes "its not about Brexit" yep clearly this is all coincidence 🤔
#Honda close Swindon, 3500 jobs EMA to Amsterdam #FlyBMI into administration #Jaguar Land Rover 4500 job cuts Hitatchi scraps Wylfa plant Various banks to Dublin, Paris, etc Sony HQ to Holland and more... How much longer will they pretend there’s no down-side to #Brexit ?
The relevant Unite official on the radio now crystal clear that Brexit is to blame for destroying jobs at Honda. Shame @LenMcCluskey doesn’t share his concern and wants Brexit to go ahead whatever the cost or the consequences
All those saying Honda job losses (like Nissan, Jaguar Land Rover, Ford etc) have nothing to do with Brexit, here's the main (only?) pro-Brexit economist, Patrick Minford, saying you'll have to run the car industry down. He's literally saying that.
