So happy with the opportunity to talk to many brilliant scientists at #UTE2019 about my PhD research and do a presentation about #AmazonWildfires. Thanks @BES_Tropical and @BritishEcolSoc for the great event! Thanks to all the lovely people I met and for collaboration ideas.
30 yrs ago we were told we couldn't take a buggy into local museum. I reflect on baby facilities then & now. https://bit.ly/2GjlowL & on what domestic equipment hasn't changed in decades (changing mats, saucepans...).That's what you ponder when you do a bit of baby sitting.
loved how family-friendly + inclusive the joint meeting of @soctropecol + @BritishEcolSoc was this last week. family space w/microwave + kettle, a whole page in the programme on gender pronouns + badges to request seats. makes a huge diff to access to intellectual spaces #UTE2019
When not being inspired by others' research, the team took to the city to take in the sights. We unanimously decided that Edinburgh is fantastic! Many thanks to @BES_Tropical and @soctropecol for organising such a great conference. We'll see you next year! #UTE2019
