"Dislike of him should be tempered by this consideration: He is an almost inexpressibly sad specimen. It must be misery to awaken to another day of being Donald Trump." George Will, Washington Post
"He is as bewildered as a kindergartner attending a seminar on string theory."- George Will on Trump trying to be President.
@RadioFreeTom George Will's choice of adjective- "shabby"- gets at the essence of the Trump presidency, which is a grimy, strip-mall version of an actual presidency.
From George Will, one of the most brutal assessments of any sitting president I’ve ever read:
"Trump's childlike ignorance preserved by a lifetime of single-minded self-promotion concerning governance guarantees that whenever he must interact with experienced and accomplished people he is as bewildered as a kindergartner at a seminar on string theory" George Will WashPost
George Will doesn’t like it when a not-very-bright celebrity becomes president and lies, runs up deficits and deceives hardworking conservatives into supporting an agenda that does not serve them, harming future generations. And that’s why he misses Reagan.
- Trump approval polls way down - Fox News' Shep Smith attacking Trump on Shutdown Conservative columnist George Will attacking Trump as a "sad specimen". The tides are slowly turning and are about to wash Trump away.
Dark chocolate candy filled with peanut butter chiffon. That could work for me.
BREAKING: White House says President Trump has canceled his delegation's trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos due to the ongoing shutdown. http://cnbc.com
Good job @davidgura
I’m glad that @realDonaldTrump’s plane stunt with Pelosi has refocused some attention on the massive and wasteful government welfare doled out to Trump family travel. @FLOTUS jetting off to Mar-a-lago for the long weekend. $10 says she has no idea why we have the day off Monday.
Mom: They’re saying Trump told Cohen to lie. Me: I know mom. Mom: No, I think this is new. Me: Mom... I’m just trying to shoot Klansmen now, okay. Mom: JUST CHECK YOUR TWEETY THINGY! Me: Gahh [later] Mom: So, is this suborning perjury? Me: YES! Mom: You’re welcome.
So... I guess NOW we know why Giuliani was trying to completely change the entire theory of his defense last night.
Senator Amy Klobuchar quizzing William Barr on exactly what he would consider an act of obstruction.
My Amy Klobuchar stock is looking really good
Insta narrative check: The question is not “if it’s true.” It’s true. Of course Trump told Cohen to lie. Of course he did. Presumption of innocence does not require you to be a chump on Twitter. The question is *if they can prove it.*
Umm... if the @GOP would like to still, like, exist, this feels like the time for Mike Pence to announce an exploratory committee.
Teresa May: I’m so screwed. Donald Trump: Hold my beer.
'Suborn' - specifically: to induce to commit perjury - broadly: to induce secretly to do an unlawful thing https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/words-from-crime-and-the-wrong-side-of-the-law/suborn …
The DICTIONARY is now subtweeting the President if the United States to roast him.
Most people who say X is much worse than watergate don’t grasp the magnitude of watergate, that the break-in was just the crime that broke open a trove of wrongdoing, unconstitutional action. Trumps crimes are much worse than watergate. Not even really close.
