#IAmEmilia what an amazing uplifting show! I'm ready to face parliament this morning. I'm so pleased that the hidden history of women, especially black women are now being told.
At the heart of the Bercow saga is that a Gov’t with no majority is trying to ram through an unpopular Brexit deal. Backing MPs into a corner by offering artificial choices, limiting scope to debate other options and running down the clock. This is not in the national interest.
I was just going to like this post but I've decided to retweet. I am in 100% agreement.
We expect chaos from the Tories. But this is taking it to a new level. Take a look 👇
Mr Speaker has just announced the PM cannot bring back her same rejected deal to @UKParliament. Parliament matters! The Government is basically #Gaslighting the country and it must stop. I stressed this during my interview today on @talkRADIO https://soundcloud.com/user-615133953/talkradio-interview-18th-march … #Bercow
"I have always felt that the West Indian community and the Irish community have a shared history – we both know what it is like to experience disgusting racism and discrimination," writes Labour MP @DawnButlerBrent in a special St. Patrick's message. http://www.theirishworld.com/dawn-butler-st-patricks-day-wishes-to-readers/ …
Here's my #StPatricksDay message from our local newspaper.
Happy #StPatricksDay everyone! I'm proud to represent a large Irish community in Brent, and I enjoy seeing our diverse communities coming together to celebrate occasions like this. So have fun together, enjoy a drink (responsibly!) and remember our diversity is our strength.
NEW Lab leader @jeremycorbyn confirms to @skynews @SophyRidgeSky Labour is in favour of Kyle-Wilson amendment “If the amendment is as I set out yes we will be supporting it”... “We do support the principle” of a referendum “We would then favour a credible choice referendum”
It was so nice to spend time with comrades....
The community in #Brent came out today to raise the #Irish 🇮🇪 flag for #StPatricksDay2019 and to show their appreciation for the efforts of the Irish in building Brent. We held a minutes silent in remembrance for the victims & families of todays terror attack in New Zealand 🇳🇿
Yesterday I was disappointed at the hate shown in my timeline. There's only one way to combat the hate and the violence across the country and that's to speak the language of love. Choose to be change we seek to see. #lovenothate
What has happened in Christchurch is an extraordinary act of unprecedented violence. It has no place in New Zealand. Many of those affected will be members of our migrant communities – New Zealand is their home – they are us.
My heart goes out to the victims of the horrific terror attack in New Zealand. We stand in solidarity with the Muslim community in Christchurch and around the world. We must defeat the bigotry which fuels such hatred and violence.
After two years, and two defeats on a deal, MPs just voted to extend Article 50. Wondering how it came to this? Here are five reasons why.
Excellent letter @AnthonyWatson
I stand shoulder to shoulder with the trans community. No community should be expected to withstand the personal and unyielding public scrutiny and demonisation of their existence. We must all call out transphobia where we find it. #GwithTheT
