It could well be raining. It rains a lot here in the Netherlands, especially in weekends :-) That would make it a lot less boring for sure.

At this time of the year, it is usually light rain, not those downpours typical for thunderstorms and autumn rain.

canโ€™t wait for another procession of a race the only reason itโ€™s on the calendar is because itโ€™s a guaranteed money maker

Well, let's be honest, it's like asking your employees whom you are paying through the roof if they are liking their job or not? Of course drivers like it, it's a roller-coaster for fun hotlaps. But do non-Dutch fans like it? A lot of mixed opinions floating...

A couple of Dutch fans don't like it either. Most of the Dutch F1 fans that started watching F1 since Barcalona 2016 like it a lot, but the others don't..

Good to know, thanks. I'm not a fan of Zandvoort personally, i think even with "modifications" it'll be no better than Catalunya it replaces, but i understand why it was chosen.

Yeah, can see 2 reasons why they've chosen Zandvoort. 1. They see that they can earn a lot of money from the Dutch fans 2. Zandvoort is more historical than Assen and Assen is a MotoGP circuit

Honest question: does it matter that Assen is a MotoGP track? Just want to know why Zandvoort over Assen.

Zandvoort is iconic and a historic F1 venue. Reclaiming this GP on the F1 calendar strengthens the F1 brand in Europe. Most importantly, there are alot of Max Verstappen fans in The Netherlands, making it a great marketing move.

My problem with Zandvoort is exactly what you said, it's a great marketing move, but it will be another dull race. Even with modifications this track is no longer suited for F1, it's in need of full redesign, and infrastructure needs a lot of work. But hey, money is money.

I agree, but hopefully weโ€™re wrong. Weโ€™ll see next year.

At the end of the day it comes down to ticket sales.. There are more Dutch people at the German GP than Germans. Same goes for Austria, Belgium and Hungary. So instead of crying about it, how about visiting your own home GP? Low ticket sales = Low revenue = Off the F1 calendar
