A few years ago a woman racially berated me in a shop on my way to work for being a scrounger & to go back to my country. We've now been introduced in a place she'd never imagined meeting me again & she's so uncomfortable. I did tell her then that #karma will come to bite her😆
I'm having a deep refreshing drink of some delicious schadenfreude, because some "Gender Critical" feminists discovered that one of their more prominent voices in Ireland is actually a hardcore anti-abortion campaigner. You know who was warning you about this? Trans people. 😉
*rolls eyes into back of head and out the other end* don't tell us we didn't warn yis!
Damn right I'm angry, the govt of the least densely populated country in the EU is touting overcrowed, purpose built tenements as a solution. Angry? I'm fucking livid that we have to put up with this shit. Just build decent goddamned houses and stop farting around @FineGael
Don't forget in this election that Fine Gael are in the EPP, the same European party that Fidesz, the Hungarian authoritarian nationalist party led by Orban is in. I'm not saying voting Fine Gael is tacitly supporting neo fascism but that's literally what voting for them is.
i'M OnE Of ThE gOOD onES™ never works out. I can't see how this isn't obvious to everyone. It happens with all minorities. Siding up with your oppressors to escape the oppression only works until your oppressors gain ground, eventually you just get lumped in with everyone
I am mindful in Ireland however of Sylva's death in Galway & trans sex workers attacked in Cork. The community is small & immigrants and sex workers here are even more marginalised so consider @SWAIIreland and @masi_asylum for their great work also intersecting in these spaces.
It's awful the impact of #transphobia & it's working class trans women & femmes of colour in the US, Brazil, Turkey and other spots that suffer most. I'm just a sad paddy & what I've had to endure is a drop in the ocean compared to others abroad.
The idea that a marginalised group are a shadowy cabal controlling society and are a threat to children is now being leveraged against trans people. But it's not new and I suggest those using it think about its long and dishonourable history.
I mean you'd be fuckin' blessed to have trans ladies running your shit anyways.
