Each year, more deaths occur due to flooding than from any other thunderstorm related hazard. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that over half of all flood-related drownings occur when a vehicle is driven into hazardous flood water. TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN.

Clear skies across the region (a seemingly rare event) affords a great look at the ice on Lake Erie. Visible are countless cracks, holes and individual floes compacted by recent wind depicting an unstable and changing ice field.
