The Lib Dem organisation: 100k members, 2k cllrs & 100+ parliamentarians, are the army a new movement needs. We shouldn’t worry that TIG is a threat to us. Today’s events are a huge opportunity for Britain to do so much better. Let’s work with others to grasp that opportunity.

Steady progress. Very proud of my party. @LibDems
It's not unexpected a group of Labour MPs have decided to break away from Corbyn's Labour but it's a courageous decision that will have been very difficult. @LibDems are open to working with like-minded MPs and I wish these MPs all the best #LabourSplit
The Liberal Democrats are open to working with like-minded groups and individuals in order to give the people the final say on Brexit, with the option to remain in the EU. We will be engaging in talks to progress both that campaign and a wider political agenda. #LabourSplit
I fought @ChukaUmunna in the 2015 General Election. But today, I am impressed at his bravery, and that of his 6 Labour colleagues, who resigned from the Labour Party due to Corbyn's position on Brexit and the party's antisemitism. Work with us @LibDems to deliver a fairer society
Whatever you think of these seven leaving Labour it is clear it’s been a huge decision for them all - you can see it on their faces, no joy in it for them and they know the abuse they will get and are already receiving
Receiving abuse from the far-left Corbynites when leaving @UKLabour is becoming commonplace.
To those former Labour MPs who resigned today. You are brave. This must have been an incredibly difficult step. Look forward to (continuing) to work with you in Parliament. Especially towards delivering a People’s Vote and a more fair and equal Britain.
Very brave indeed. 👏🏻
BBC News - Seven MPs leave Labour Party

I'm the reasonably educated type that weighed up as many pros and cons of staying or going as I could and decided that, on balance, the evidence suggested remaining would be best. No crying, no tantrums. No hate speech, no partisan vileness. No comedy value. Thanks!
Former Attorney General Dominic Grieve says there could be "up to half a dozen" resignations from the Cabinet in the coming weeks if Theresa May did not delay Brexit if there was no deal - and that could bring down the government. #r4Today
Awkward moment this morning when croissant delivery boy refused to sign loyalty pledge.
Labour's Stephen Kinnock tells #WestminsterHour that Labour MPs will leave the party.
Sad, but inevitable under the current leadership.
Nice to see the Corbyn-loving far left being as respectful as ever.
Whining about not getting funds to build a pointless wall does not constitute a national emergency. The funds could be used in other areas. You also set a dangerous precedent by bypassing Congress for such a trivial matter. Will future presidents do the same? @realDonaldTrump
I feel sad that a proud party is collapsing in front of us. @jeremycorbyn and his inner circle don't realise that allowing @UKLabour to split strengthens the Tories' grip on No. 10 and will affect them in the GE they want. But point this out to them and get shouted down. Pitiful.
As @UKLabour stands on the brink of splitting, all whilst @jeremycorbyn closes his eyes, covers his ears and ignores the wishes of the membership, I think it's fair to say that Corbyn has categorically proved himself to be for the few, not the many. @LibDems
When I joined the Labour Party in 1968. I joined a political party not a Stalinist leadership cult.
So John McDonnell says #PeoplesVote only “in extremis” & maybe “we’ll look at it”.... Clearly rowing back on Labour’s conference policy There’s a disastrous #Brexit in less than 1000 hours. And @UKLabour stands on the sidelines pretending to face all ways. What an utter tragedy
Ha ha! Pro Brexit ‘march’ in Manchester. Shall we just agree now that Manchester really doesn’t want to leave the EU?
