@SMBE is the model; no need to reinvent the wheel, just do what they do! And, as I’ve learned from folks leading these changes elsewhere, describing it as “challenging” doesn’t tend to help the cause w skeptics (while terms like essential, overdue, & utterly doable do help)
To be explicit @OfficialSMBE is model for at least 3 reasons: 1. Childcare available on site. 2. It's free/low cost. 3. Events all happen when childcare is available.
4 reasons! @OfficialSMBE also has the Carer award (not just for childcare! can be used for elder care or other) which offsets cost for bringing help or paying for help at home. Important for kids who can’t travel, evening poster sessions, etc. This, my friends, is real progress!
