I'm not one for sticking up for Diane and yes, it's illegal... but please don't compare this to lager louts causing havoc and harassing other travellers.
A month ago, I reported a critical vulnerability to @HolidayInn / @IHGCorporate which allowed access to every customer booking, anywhere in the world. Names, addresses, phone numbers, payment info, hotel info, names of guests... They responded immediately and it's now resolved.

A tiny free-moving magnet, a reed switch and a sleep after 10 seconds would solve this entire issue with absolutely no side effects.
