Since I’m on the lighthearted topic of cancer, just a friendly reminder.
My doctor/mom forced me to succumb to a disabled placard for the days I’m having a real cancer “flare up.” Today I used it for the first time at the market. Today a woman also berated me for taking a handicap spot.
Case Update: Due to new evidence as a result of today's interrogations, the individuals questioned by police in the Empire case have now been released without charging and detectives have additional investigative work to complete.
BIG development in Smollett case:
"If you think people get frisky around Valentine’s Day, you should see the elephant seals of Piedras Blancas. Up close, it was like watching a slo-mo Roman orgy, minus the arms and legs." From columnist Robin Abcarian: https://lat.ms/2GKPx8A

Today is the deadline for #WoolseyFire victims to apply for federal grants or small business loans.
Gov. Gavin Newsom said that California will sue the Trump administration over its declaration of a national emergency on the southern border with Mexico https://lat.ms/2SQDqgW
If you’re ever wondering whether something is as serious as it seems, just check whether California aka the nation’s biggest drama queen is threatening to sue over it.
"If we did have an army of cats that came over here to attack the rats, we might eliminate the rats but that doesn't mean we would eliminate the flea problem?" "Exactly...the fleas from the rats would immediately jump onto the cats." This is an LA City Council meeting.
I cannot deal
Someone help me understand. We are now attacking AOC b/c her bf has an email account. Doesn’t he need one in order for the calendars to sync on outlook? Isn’t sharing a calendar via a link different from syncing? Someone explain technology to me.
"If I went to Outback Steakhouse by myself tonight ... then got progressively sadder as the night went on alone, do you think they’d give me my steak for free?" Reader, they did. https://bit.ly/2toXWa8
No wonder he’s actually single.
Meanwhile in Russia
Since my grandma is 101 years old & doesn't tweet, this is a PSA to stop assuming. Stop attacking people for having an opinion that isn't "tear down the wall." Esp if you're not in a state heavily impacted by immigration. [End scene]
I bring this up b/c I saw my grandma yesterday & she gets upset that people call her out for not supporting illegal immigration or politicians who shout "tear down the wall." Mexican immigrants who are now proud citizens do not support illegal immigration.
This is not to say there aren't some major issues with our immigration policies especially re people who want to become U.S. citizens. But I think people forget there's a difference b/w supporting legal immigrants vs blanket illegal immigration.
Think about it. They had to put in WORK to become citizens. They work hard, they pay taxes. If you ask them they'll tell you they're "Americans first." They think it's unfair that some people who don't want to put in that work get the same (sometimes better) benefits.
Unpopular Op: My Mexican family legally immigrated to the U.S. & became U.S. citizens. The process was intense but they did it b/c they wanted to be citizens more than anything. I know I don't know every legal immigrant but I've never met one who supported illegal immigration.
