Tell me again how all this gaslighting isn't gaslighting. Tell me again how this isn't a daily psy-op on American citizens. Tell me again how Donald Trump is some kind of super patriot MAGA God Emperor Hero of the Republic. Say it, you fucking traitor.

“Two days shy of his anticipated congressional testimony, Russian-mafia tied businessman Felix Sater has been hit with a lawsuit accusing him of trying to launder looted money through the aborted Trump Tower deal in Moscow.” 🇷🇺

That's it, folks. End of an era. Andrew Weissmann exits the (massive, unpredictable) Manafort case in DC District Court.

Greg Andres, Jeannie Rhee + other SCO prosecutors also withdrew from the case today, while 5 DC AUSAs stepped up. The case continues w Rick Gates cooperating.

Pretty much everything Avenatti did was a disaster for Democrats politically, especially including completely fucking up on Kavanaugh, but he's done them a solid by completely stealing the news cycle by being charged with so many crimes the day after Trump got good news for once.

Evgeny Popov, the host of 60 Minutes, the most popular TV program in Russia as of 2018, interpreted Mueller’s findings as a confirmation that “Russia didn’t elect Trump,” but “will most definitely elect him in 2020.” 🇷🇺

The most interesting room in the US today? Inside the Southern District of NY's morning meeting, as they plot their path post-Mueller report. How do you feel if you're an SDNY prosecutor investigating the Trump Org post-Mueller?

Get hands on report..

There is absolutely nothing that needs to be redacted from the obstruction of justice part of the Mueller report. That needs to be released in its entirety TODAY.

Nichols: “If Roger Stone, for example, communicated with Julian Assange about Hillary Clinton’s emails, does this pass the test of “campaign associates” “knowingly” working with “the Russian government”? For a lawyer, perhaps not..”

Nichols: The Trump campaign, “a claque of grifters who were already feeding at the Russian trough latched on to Trump and then found themselves completely unprepared for life in the spotlight when Trump won.”

Quoted @Teri_Kanefield

(Thread) Let’s suppose that Mueller did find evidence of a Trump-Russia conspiracy. Why, then, no more indictments (from Mueller)? I've talked about how Mueller has been handing off evidence of crimes to other offices. But what if Trump or Trump family is implicated?

4/ Before Barr released his summary I suggested that if Mueller did find evidence of Trump family wrongdoing, he would hand it to Congress.👇 https://twitter.com/Teri_Kanefield/status/1109475764032827392 … … I assume what will happen now is Congress will begin the process of getting the full report.

Mueller, however, has remained a sphinx-like cipher at the center of the political whirlwind since his appointment, making it unlikely that he might agree to a big show for Congress. That could be the subject of its own separate fight.

Mariotti: “Mueller’s inability to prove conspiracy does not mean, however, that he failed to uncover evidence that would be troubling to many Americans.” 🇺🇸

The Barr report “doesn’t show that Trump is innocent of collusion or obstruction. It shows that collusion and obstruction were defined to exclude what he did.”

Mensch: “Am I parsing words? No. I’m not. Because “found no collusion” means Mueller declared the President innocent. “Did not find collusion” means, in my opinion, that Bob Mueller is likely to deliver a report like an Exocet missile..”

Frum: “The 2016 election was altered by Putin’s intervention, and a finding that the Trump campaign only went along for the ride does not rehabilitate the democratic or patriotic legitimacy of the Trump presidency.”

Cockburn: “Mueller was careful to say he could not ‘establish’ that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia. That one word could span the ravine between intelligence findings and evidence in a criminal trial”

So, now, I’d really, really like to see the actual report, not Barr’s summary of it. /5x

Foreshadowing? “It’s important,” Mr. Rosenstein said, “for government officials to refrain from making allegations of wrongdoing when they’re not backed by charges that we aren’t prepared to prove in court.”
