The LGBTQIA+ community wouldn’t even exist if a Black trans woman hadn’t thrown the first brick at Stonewall. Trans people are the foundation of our entire community and if you want to call yourself a part of it, you will be expected to recognize that.
Hiiieeee. I hate this and you should too. Without the BLACK TRANS WOMEN, the LGB*T* community would not be where we are today. This is garbage. Absolute garbage. #lgbTqofTwitter

Please @AOC do us all a favor and spend just a few minutes learning some actual history. 6 million Jews were exterminated in the Holocaust. You demean their memory and disgrace yourself with comments like this. https://twitter.com/realsaavedra/status/1140846386042171392 …
Hey Rep. Cheney, since you’re so eager to “educate me,” I’m curious: What do YOU call building mass camps of people being detained without a trial? How would you dress up DHS’s mass separation of thousands children at the border from their parents?
I was told by my relatives very bluntly recently: “You’re not Chinese. Don’t protest.” You’re right. But I was born and raised in this city. I have as much an obligation and right to stand up for it as others do. https://twitter.com/imjiannems/status/1140783643285000192 …
This woman is YOUR FRIEND She fights for HONGKONG
Yikes, Harvard revoked that Parkland student’s acceptance because of deeply racist language he used and he’s saying, “They’re judging me for something I did when I was sixteen!” That’s literally how university admissions work. They judge you by what you do when you’re sixteen.
’ He remembered that on June 9th protest, some Legco members saw them and said, ‘Foreigners also come today, thank you.’ Raj‘s heart sank, ‘I was born and raised in Hong Kong, not foreigners.’ https://link.medium.com/8oBopJAHBX

.@AOC is just wrong. Amazon is a leader on pay at $15 min wage + full benefits from day one. We also lobby to raise federal min wage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSfRQl2yADs&feature=youtu.be&t=961 …
From “day one?” Really? 1 in 10 of Amazon’s Ohio employees were on food stamps after the company opened fulfillment centers in the state. Paying full-time employees so little that they require gov food assistance is what paying starvation wages means. https://www.thedailybeast.com/amazon-is-worth-dollar1-trillion-its-workers-are-on-food-stamps …
What to do when you are lost: -Be very upset -Dig hole -Wonder why you dug hole -Accept that digging that hole made you more confused about where you were -Find familiar sound -Quickly realize that a familiar sounding bird will not help you find your way -I do not know where I am
The Police Junior Officers' Association says frontline officers are angry that they're being 'smeared' while 'rioters' are lauded as heroes. https://news.rthk.hk/rthk/en/component/k2/1463264-20190616.htm …
I know for a fact that even the son of a senior CID officer was at the protest yesterday, having given dad a cover story. Even their kids are against the cops.
Photos doing the rounds in HK this morning: the first two show riot police lines refusing to let ambulances through, forcing them to turn around on 6/12. The second two show protesters parting for them on 6/15.
This is a grand reminder of the difference between the cops and us. I’d like to point out the protestors were also parting for ambulances on 12th June too, when police were turning them back.
