It won't matter if you register every single brown person in the state of Texas, it doesn't mean they will go vote. If our Latino registered voters keep seeing only Non-Latino candidates on TV, digital ads, and heard on radio - they will remain disheartened & disengaged.
All states with a large demographic of Latinos needs to make recruiting Latino candidates the NUMBER ONE priority. 2nd can be massive voter registration drives. It's Latino candidates all the way down the ballot that will bring new voters out to the ballot box.
Schumer definitely gets it...he has just recruited Ruben Gallegos (a true Latino) to run for McCain's Senate seat in Arizona. But we will still take a close look to make sure Gallegos isn't one of Seth Moulton's guys.👀
