Anyone who thinks we can completely abolish the police is so naive. It's impossible. Because a we need police in the world? What? No, we've had societies without police. It's impossible because if anyone tried to do it for real the police would assassinate them.
The heart of Capitalism is irrationality. Niether the consumers, nor the workers, control how things are produced. The actual reason for all of our work is irrelevant, everything has to be organized merely for profit. Capitalism strips rationality away from all human activity.
The demand that you must be passionate about your job just means that not only do you have to obey and do the job, but you have to mentally obey – you have to buy in. Capitalism is now trying to make sure you have the right set of ideas in order to be able to work.
