The question that’s coming into focus is how — with only slight exaggeration — Trump could be a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kremlin and the Saudi Royal Family at the same time.
The New York Times uncovered new details in President Trump’s 2-year campaign of pressure and intimidation against the investigations encircling him. His efforts have exposed him to accusations of obstruction of justice as Robert Mueller finishes his work. https://nyti.ms/2DXSQqd
Stunning report from @nytimes. Ordering McGahn to fire Mueller, floating pardons, & now asking Whitaker to replace the head of SDNY criminal probe: Individual-1 seems deeply afraid of investigations encircling his company, foundation, campaign, inauguration, transition, & admin.
Clarence Thomas suggesting today that libel law be revisited is a chilling sign of how Trump -- who has been carefully courting Thomas & his wife -- could try to use the Supreme Court to stifle the free press and advance authoritarianism.

Whether Flynn is sentenced is not just about punishment, but national security. He is a traitor full of state secrets who made illicit deals with Russia, KSA, and more, on things like nuclear materials. He is actively working with right-wing extremists in the US. He is dangerous.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to watch me retweet it 😩
A comprehensive, thoughtful, powerful @nytimes piece on Trump's two-year long effort to obstruct justice. Very much worth a read. If you don't have time to read it, however, I can summarize it five words: Your President is a Crook.
Let me get this straight: The DOJ told R's Trump was a suspected Russian spy and they STILL supported him for pres? Thinking of a word for that...

Mitch McConnell: "The American people clearly sent a message....They said they want to see us working together....What they didn't say they wanted to see was the president side-stepping the very representatives they just elected."
“Every time you assault and stereotype a person, you’ve ripped the social fabric. Every time you see that person deeply and make him or her feel known, you’ve woven it.” David Brooks (2/18 NY Times) is right that we all need to be weavers if we are to heal our beloved country.
Roger Stone now directly attacking the federal judge presiding over his case and posting a pic of her head beside crosshairs
This is beyond unacceptable and Donald Trump better condemn it. If he does not, his silence will speak volumes. This is a direct attack on the rule of law and its guardians.
This is also a lie. Obama did repeatedly. @peterbakernyt is lying as usual. https://twitter.com/peterbakernyt/status/1097185386948976640 …
Sorry, simply not true. I've interviewed 7 presidents and covered 4 full time over last couple decades. All complained about the press and at times lashed out. But none of them, Republican or Democrat, engaged in the kind of "enemy of the people" rhetoric Trump routinely does.
Very cogent thread about actual conservative principles, ever scarcer in the GOP. With the liberal left rising, and the right given over to authoritarian populism, which party will hold a conservative center? https://twitter.com/justinamash/status/1096537351654989825 …
This is the question 👇🏽
This President’s Day weekend let us remember that an unhinged, ignorant psychopath with no respect for precedent or law is precisely the type of president our system was DESIGNED to throw out.
Ted Cruz: "It's incumbent on Republicans in Congress to use every single tool we have to defend the rule of law, to rein in the president, so that the president does not become an unaccountable monarch imposing his policies...."
“I don’t care. I believe Putin,” Pres Trump allegedly said, rejecting U.S. intelligence regarding North Korean intercontinental ballistic missile capability. McCabe says he heard this from an FBI official who was at the meeting with POTUS. https://cbsn.ws/2Ef6tCq
Andrew McCabe is a lifelong Republican. Gratitude to him and all the insiders in the FBI, other law enforcement, intelligence, Congress & the Senate who are fighting to save our country from a Clear and Present Danger C @60Minutes #McCabe #Russia #FBI
There’s a history of calling a free press the Enemy of the People.
