Looking back at 2018 with the Olympics, spending, and secrecy, @sunrickbell gives Calgary City Council an F. How would YOU rate #yyccc's job performance? And what grade would you give me as your Councillor? https://twitter.com/sunrickbell/status/1079421849551814656 …
Grade? NMI. Calgary city council Needs Massive Improvement. All 15of them. @sunrickbell is right. So is Sam Friley. https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/road-construction-and-high-taxes-force-17-avenue-waffle-house-to-close-its-doors-1.4234815 …
Completely agree. Deforestation rivals fossil fuel use as a source of GHGs but, for some reason, we don’t argue that we should get credit for our carbon sinks. Our farmers practice no till and we preserve and replant forests. Brazil and Indonesia can’t burn their’s fast enough https://twitter.com/nspector4/status/1078702219099176960 …
Negotiators (and leaders) worth their salt would understand ALL the elements that make 🇨🇦strong. Resourceful Cdns + our resources: agric, forests, oceans, o/g, mines, hydro + more. Plus our infinite capacity to dev all of them responsibly. Few countries do it better. V few.
Best news is the appointment of Calgary’s own Joanne Cuthbertson and Charlie Fischer to the Order of Canada. Richly deserved. @UCalgary alumni at their best.
Level headed thinking from a real scientist: “So to suggest that we can make massive global political changes without anyone making individual changes represents magical thinking.”
Wise words from my friend and former colleague @montesolberg on today’s announcement of ‘help’ from the Trudeau Liberals.
You've spoken — 95% of BNN Bloomberg viewers say pipeline capacity is the aid that Canada's beleaguered oil patch needs http://bnnbloomberg.ca/1.1184925
Really @SohiAmarjeet @jimcarr_wpg? WTH asked feds to extend more debt to o&g SME’s? This is a made in Ottawa solution. Totally tone deaf. Could a fed Min please just say: “We know you need pipeline approvals. We’re working 24x7 to make it happen” Please 🎅 make it so
Have watched the #SoundOfMusic every December for my whole life. I sing along and think of my mom (Climb Every Mountain was her theme song). This year my daughter volunteered to watch with me
Voluntold? Volunbribed? Merry Christmas @ElsbethMehrer
@PTertzakian Podcast is a valuable addition to Bill C-69 debate. Underscores how rigorous process should NOT be politicized. Pull the bill. Yes to responsible resource dev; don’t strangle capital investment @PMJTrudeau @SohiAmarjeet
Excellent piece by @montesolberg. “Most westerners don't want to separate from Canada; we want to separate from a federal government that seems indifferent to the West's contribution to Confederation.” A must read for Cdn legislators & leaders.
Beer, Spirits and Doobies, all the now legal forms of intoxication shouldn't it be a full service, service?
RCMP to launch food delivery service to compete with Uber Eats and DoorDash http://ow.ly/syWW30mZOwq
Let’s ask #RCMPEats to deliver beer and spirits too.

Increasingly representative of our diverse country. https://twitter.com/SenHarder/status/1072904779477716992 …
Diverse indeed. Defeated Liberal candidates soon to be a StatsCan census category, I’m sure. https://mobile.twitter.com/electstan?lang=en …
Biggest net contributor is Alberta. NET. Not GROSS. You need to go back to school and take an economics course. https://twitter.com/LiberalGowron/status/1072173824588816385 …
Repeat wisdom of @RobRoachCalgary ‘what rankles many of us in Alberta is not that Que receives equalization but that is an example of Canadians helping each other. We'd like to see more support for Canadian oil because that would be an example of Canadians helping each other.’
I think what rankles many of us in Alberta is not that Quebec receives equalization but that #equalization is an example of Canadians helping each other and we'd like to see more support for Canadian oil because that would be an example of Canadians helping each other.
Chief Roy Fox of the Blood Tribe hits the nail on the head.
7) and we need to defend our constitutional jurisdiction under 92A - that Peter Lougheed fought so hard to include in the Constitution.
Good ideas. Thanks. Follow the Lougheed model: ‘positive policy actions; don’t mention the competition’. All your good ideas get lost in the whining & criticism of others’ actions. Act like a govt in waiting; not a noisy oppos’n.
3/3 Focus on solutions. We need to hear from UCP candidates positive/constructive initiatives they’ll implement once they’re elected. There’s more than enough blame to go around—to all parties past and present.
