NERDCAST 2019 is here! Max and David break down the Suns’ salary cap situation in detail before taking turns playing GM in a Mock Phoenix Suns Free Agency. The guys also provide mini-scouting reports on the Suns’ rookies, Cam Johnson and Ty Jerome. https://www.podbean.com/ei/pb-jbj8c-b59150 …
Hope people enjoy this and, as David said on the pod, feel free to ask us any questions you may have about the salary cap stuff. It’s complicated.

Suns draft recap: Poor asset optimization. Added a starting pf and quality backup center for less than $10m while retaining future cap flexibility. Reconfigured the roster for immediate improvements with prioritization on smarts and shooting. It’s not difficult to understand.
We can argue over the Warren and Saric trades, but I think the Jerome trade plainly was a good asset play. The O/U on MIL's pick next season has to be something like 27.5. PHX turned a probably worse 1st next season into a better 1st this season + a quality backup C.
Episode 51 is here! Max and David react to (and try to sort out) a wild draft night for the Phoenix Suns. They give their takes on how the Suns did + how last night affects their teambuilding going forward. https://www.podbean.com/ea/pb-i3srz-b54ee1 …
In case you’re looking for “this draft wasn’t a disaster for the Suns” takes, here are some!
Contrary to a report there are no plans for the Suns to buyout Aron Baynes - he is coming to Phoenix to play
Love. It. As @theIVpointplay pointed out on our pod, Aron Baynes is the kind of dude you want backing up Ayton. He’s gonna kick Ayton’s ass in practice. This is an excellent get.
