Taxes increase cost push inflation & decrease demand pull. QE increases demand pull & reduce cost push. While cost push inflation exceeds demand pull, its logical that we might reduce inflation by replacing taxes which drive cost push (fuel levy, VAT etc) with QE.
Someone once said, "We Gonna Be Alright" when VAT increased. Soon after, fuel levy increased, carbon tax added on fuel. Where are we going to be alright?
