A few weeks left to apply to share your thoughts on youth violence. @NTUSocSciences colleagues are hosting a day-long event to discuss alternative perspectives. https://twitter.com/FHowardNG/status/1124304511961632768 …
Looking forward to supporting this event. Thinking back to my time with @RSAcentral and wondering if any of the great people based @ImpactHubBrum might be interested in hearing about this session. Especially people who spoke at the Power of Us @TEDxBrum like @beatfreeks
I'm looking for an education researcher/consultant/project manager to join us @theRSAorg. Sounds like we don't know exactly what we want?! That's because we're right at the start of a new strategy and your skills & interests will help to shape the work! https://rsa.peoplehr.net/Pages/JobBoard/Opening.aspx?v=3d48753b-53eb-44d1-9160-ae4ae911d19d …
I got my job with @theRSAorg through a tweet like this from @jjwood01 back when I was a youth worker. Seems only fitting I share. Great organisation to work for with superb committed people and bucket loads of ideas.
Things I have learned about the general public whilst working at the library: 1. A huge number of people under 20 can't read face clocks, having grown up with only digital one. 2. Many people don't know how to spell "library." It's in our email address. This causes problems
Everyone read this thread. And then go to a library. The last bastions of hope. 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
Pleased that my evidence to the Transport Committee's Road Safety Inquiry was accepted and published. It focused on our work on road safety for Mobility Scooter users & the need for more joined up strategic thinking here. Thanks to @pickfordrich for help in putting it together.
Glad we could help. Where is the link? We will host it via @NottsCivicEx pages for all to see and to help others find it.
Very proud that our Director, @CarriePaechter and Centre member @ThompsonBeccy, both lead members of the @ncitycare_SSBC Evaluation team, have been given Vice-Chancellor’s Outstanding Researcher Awards. Congratulations to them both.
This is a pretty good visualisation of vehicle emissions
I’d like to share another “unusual” (but shouldn’t be) part of my office policy w/ you all: Parental Leave! Three members of our small team are expectant or new parents in the first 6 mos of my term. In my office, *every* new parent receives 3 mos paid leave - including dads.
I love how @AOC... 🔢 explains transformative changes in actual personal examples ♀️♂️ is on the side of all dads and mums at the same time 💁🏽♀️ just makes it look easy
