I wrote an op-ed in the NYT and who knows if I will ever make it back into the NYT so I'm going to tweet this a final time and then start fresh tomorrow with super insightful tweets about dumb tech stuff and bands I like that no one listens to anymore.

I agree with this entirely. I think the problem traces back to the introduction of the News Feed. People forget Facebook once existed without it. I vividly recall having a vigorous argument with Zuckerberg about the dangers vs. the value of the then-newly-launching News Feed.

every time i go to write "grateful" i always pause and convince myself it must be "greatful," all because the grateful dead existed and i always assumed they were stoned and being creative when they came up with the name
