He beat a past it Silva, a mediocre Brunson and Tavares who would never exactly set the world alight and 2 other guys that can best be described as club fighters. The jury is still out on him I’m afraid. He has serious potential, and will potentially be the champion, but .......
Never satisfied, are you? If/when he beats someone like Jacare, Gastelum, and/or Whittaker, you’ll still complain about how he hasn’t “proven” himself yet.
Obviously you have trouble understanding what I said. He has great potential. But has he beaten and of these guys yet? No ........ If he does, I’d be overjoyed. I love his fighting style and he has a great attitude too. I’d love to see him be champion.
Have him fight Yoel Romero vs. Paulo Costa winner to see who fights Whittaker vs. Gastelum winner for the belt.
They are saving Paulo for after he gets the belt. Jacare is proly the only fight we could possibly see b4 he fights for title.
I love Anderson Silva but digging up legends to fight an upcoming star to ‘legitimize’ a title shot is dumb. That weight class isn’t struggling so fast tracking him is unnecessary.
I agree a win over Silva should not award a title shot. but they need Old people like him to stick around and help build the new stars like @stylebender
Yes, who else has won 5 fights in a year?
None of em against too 5
So what, he's won 5 fights in one year. That's damn impressive no matter how you look at it.
He beat Brunson and Silva once they were already past their prime. I wouldn't really call it an amazing resume.
Who says Brunson is past his prime and that looked like a vintage Silva last night, he looked very sharp but Israel still bested him
Brunson is past his prime never will be a contender just gatekeeper, israel let silva a 45 years old men with no guards up the entire fight go the distance? He’s supposed to kill him , it’s embarrassing for that hype train
Brunson nearly koed Whittaker when they fought like what less than 2 years ago? And Silva has always fought with his guard down and he was koing everyone throughout his career fighting that way, he looked like his old elf and Israel still won
Old self?you gotta be kidding me ..if he was his old self..Israel would be tasting the canvas ..technique was still same ..but the speed and reflexex were too slow as compared to prime silva ..all those missed hooks would be connecting if he was in his prime..
Dunno bout that one chief and his reflexes were very sharp idk what u on
If u have seen his best days then u know what I'm talking about...
I’ve been watching the sport for a long time man trust me... if u don’t think Anderson looked nearly as solid as he was in his prime idk what to tell you
You’re clearly a casual fan
