Childcare vital to early years development and access to employment. Education/Health Ministers must urgently review eligibility for childcare if guidance permits, efficiently allocate the £12m childcare provider support fund and include childcare in the Executive Recovery Plan.

Childcare in Northern Ireland was chronically under-supported before the pandemic, relying on the good will of providers and their staff. Now its problems are even bigger. This is a huge problem - childcare is infrastructure: https://t.co/mfSt6hBQjf

Childcare is vital part of our infrastructure, and critical to our pathway to recovery from #covid_19 It is so important that settings and families know what support is available at this time - call our Family Benefits Advice Service on Freephone 0800 028 3008 for guidance https://t.co/tlxOR3uHa5

.@bbcgmu hears Justice Minister @naomi_long is making the case for childcare to be included in NI’s recovery plan. @Chris_Lyttle says access to childcare is vital for children and for parents going back to work.

.@NicholaMallon asked about the issue - “If we don’t have childcare in place how can we get people back to work?” The recovery roadmap is not something that should be set in stone, never to be touched. It is something that should be expanded...

Importantly there is support available for our vital childcare sector, contact us Freephone 0800 028 3008 / hello@employersforchildcare.org to find out more about financial support available https://t.co/dWlIlzie9v
