Now @BorisJohnson is genuinely saying that we, the UK, "can use the leverage of a trade deal to get the USA to raise their own standards (on animal welfare)." Yes that's definitely going to happen isn't it. The US farming industry will bend to our whim. Utter garbage. As always
Good Lord. Three years of nonsense claiming that the EU would do anything we tell it to, now moving on to claim that the *USA* will do anything we tell it to. Party like it's 1775!
Good luck with that. The EU and US have been arguing about his for 20 years.

Bored of videos showing scientists bloodfeeding mosquitoes on their arms? Here's a great thread on how #leeches are fed on "blood sausage" in the lab. Fascinating - but think I'll stick to #mosquitoes
Imagine having so few arguments left in favour of your shitty project that you have to claim a cricket match won by a team full of immigrants (led by an Irish captain) is somehow proof that we don’t need Europe.
Prof Paul Nurse is saying that scientists see Brexit as “turning our backs not just on Europe, but on the world”. He fears loss of funding and of visiting experts. He is exactly and diametrically wrong. As my old Mother used to say, “You intelligent people have no Common Sense”.
The future of UK science, as seen by Helmer.
We need someone with the temperament to drive full speed towards No Deal without any thought of using the break. The person most suited to this is Boris.
Food prices will rise, manufacturing workers will lose their jobs, the sick will lose access to medicines, there will be a recession and a massive hit to public finances and public services will suffer. You're not a socialist, Giles, and nor are you a man of God.
It's finally out! An updated review article -- "Interferon-Stimulated Genes: What Do They All Do?" A veritable tome on all things ISGs+virus. Topics covered: What is an ISG? How many ISGs are there? How are antiviral ISGs identified? What do ISGs do?
'...you go instead to Dublin and you literally do a deal with the Irish, whether you bribe them or threaten them one way or the other to get them into position where they're the ones who drop the opposition to the backstop.' Good lord. @MirrorAlison's reaction says it all.
It is the year 2469. Brexiteers still don’t understand the basics of how the EU works.
