Early diagnosis of cancer saves lives, so we’re introducing HPV self-testing kits on the NHS - to boost screening, all from the comfort of home https://t.co/zmOQWrBYOt
@MattHancock Let’s be clear, testing for HPV is NOT the same as screening for cervical cancer. Being HPV positive increases your risk of cervical cancer and is important. Screening for cervical cancer involves looking at cervical cells for abnormalities that can potentially progress to cancer
@MattHancock How about forcing CCGs to comply with clinical decisions to supply liothyronine T3 to the minority of thyroid patients who need it, so they can be treated for a condition they already have, instead of allowing CCGs to create a hostile environment for thyroid patients? #AndMeT3
@MattHancock @DHSCgovuk Most times a nurse trained in this procedure with a reasonably good view of the cervix is not able to get a good sample of cells. How is a woman at home with no view at all, from an almost impossible angle meant to reach, locate & successfully collect cells from her own cervix?
