What's it like to live without much water in the tap? Lessons from Chennai, India.
Replying to @SominiSengupta
Is the mainstream media concerned about the suffering that denizens of Chennai have to endure diurnally. The Water contractors ferrying water tanks into the city are laughing their way to the bank whilst the municipal corporation officials & politicians fiddle insouciantly.
Mother Earth is our only HOME! World’s TOP problem is “OVERPOPULATION” World population could rise to a mind-boggling 11.2 Billion by 2100. We have already used up the most productive LAND, RIVERS and “WATER.” In 2050, INDIA’s population is projected to be 1.69 BILLION!!
As the lands are flooding. We do not have a water shortage. We have a water management problem. The seas can’t rise without water. Lots of water. No management of the waterways. No real anti flood plans. Although New Orleans is trying with the barriers; hope they work.
Yes they are a fine example saw a documentary on the Netherlands it’s a beautiful and brilliant plan. Love the way they use the waters power to run the grid. I need to see if I can find that and post it here.
