Former UFC fighter @SuperKingofBros gets the call up to Smackdown. What a success story. Unceremoniously cut from the organization and then reinvents himself into one of the business’ top prospects. Congrats, bro. https://t.co/yMgHV603XP

Stephen Jackson with just about the most powerful words I’ve ever heard https://t.co/7guc6O4T6W

Do I make 5+ per fight yes. Should I stick to that number for my super fights? No. If you don’t agree with me you just don’t know business. I certainly didn’t ask for 30, never even threw out a number.

And if I wanted to compare money to someone else, I would compare money to my brothers. I see firsthand the way the NFL treats their champion athletes, there’s a huge difference. I’ve kept my mouth shut my entire career.

Dana tells reporter he isn't wearing a mask at the pre fight scrum because he doesn't have to. Says he wasn't at the weigh ins. When asked about tomorrow night, he says he will be watching the fights from his room. #UFC #UFConESPN9

This has been a point of contention all week, I’m told. White said he’ll watch the fights in his private room if he has to tomorrow. Nevada wants everyone in attendance to be wearing a mask. Sean Shelby did the faceoffs today while wearing a mask. https://t.co/ZRNZLHmyTL

While Jones has been the top-ranked light-heavyweight in the sport since 2011 and is either 1 or 2 on every P4P list I’ve seen recently, including ESPN’s. Jones is also considered either the greatest or second-best fighter in the history of the sport on most lists.

Dana White told media today that Jon Jones was asking for “Deontay Wilder money” to move up to heavyweight to fight Francis Ngannou. Still no word on what the exact number was. For context, Wilder is ESPN’s third-ranked heavyweight and currently not in the P4P rankings. ...

In an interview w/ @LeBatardShow earlier today, Dana White said the Reebok deal is coming to an end, he thinks, at the end of this year, & that they are talking to companies about a new deal.  I’ve heard the same. At the moment, wouldn’t be surprised if the two sides part ways.

To date the UFC’s “Promotional Guidelines Compliance” program (of which wearing Reebok apparel is part of) has paid out just shy of $33 million to athletes. Dana White famously quoted as saying “all the money goes to” fighters after signing reported $70 million deal in 2014. https://t.co/dBz6QYtaGT

Watching this clip that espn posted from my interview yesterday with @ArielHelwani pumps me up so much that I can't wait to get back in the Octagon June 6th to 🗣roar the names of all #UFC Octagon Warriors fighting… https://t.co/lDucri4ewd

Over the years, @brucebuffer has developed a special chemistry with certain fighters, including @MikeMav22, @TJDillashaw and @danhardymma (via @arielhelwani) https://t.co/Q0TRDgNSgv

Lebatard asked some really interesting questions about the business and current drama (Bones, Cejudo et al) that Dana is rarely asked. I recommend checking out the pod when it’s up in a bit. The interview concluded with them agreeing to fight for charity in the future.

@LeBatardShow When asked if fighters will be allowed to have sponsors in the cage again, his response was, "The fighters get paid. The fighters get paid for whatever sponsor we have, they get a piece of that. And they can have whatever sponsors they want outside the cage.”

“Don’t get me wrong, I love this s---. But when it’s all said and done, I’m ghost.” @stylebender wants his career trajectory to resemble that of comedic icon Dave Chappelle. (via @arielhelwani) https://t.co/WA6gYupK7w

Per Bob Bennett of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, all the fighters weighing in must wear a mask. That wasn’t the case in Florida. “They can pull them down when they’re having their picture taken,” he added, “and face-offs are permitted.”
