Can't think of another meeting like New Networks for Nature event "Nature Matters". The natural world seen through different lenses- in all its diversity, art, literature, music, poetry, science, history...I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Stunning. Will this be at @TheBirdfair ?

Love that Ivanka Trump is already channelling Boris Johnson’s grasp on detail.

Boris Johnson says it was a privilege to serve in Theresa May's cabinet and see the passion and determination she brought to the many causes that are her legacy. Add hypocrisy to his long list of failings #NotInOurName

From captivity to freedom, and hopefully a long life in the lowlands of England. These young #curlews are boosting the population in Gloucestershire while we sort out how to make our landscapes better for all wildlife. "Hope is a thing with feathers..." @guardianeco

Spot the #curlews . A few of the 27 youngsters taking their first, tentative steps in the wild. They were raised from eggs that would have been destroyed on airfields. Now they are free. Wish them luck and hope they return to breed in 2 years. Thank you ⁦@WWTSlimbridge

In 4 weeks, this spoon-billed sandpiper chick (now 2-3 days old) will start the ~8,500 km trip to southeast Asia. If, of course, it can avoid ground squirrels, jaegers, foxes, ravens, & other predators here in Chukotka until then. Godspeed little doodle. #BeringianStronghold

I can't believe this is real - is it a joke or do some people really hate plants that much? What possible harm were these bits of greenery doing? Come on Wiltshire Council, you can do better than that. https://twitter.com/wiltscouncil/status/1151841118734233600 …

“In the next 200 years, all our glaciers are expected to follow the same path [and disappear],” the plaque reads, in Icelandic & English. “This monument is to acknowledge that we know what is happening & what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to those who arranged and supported the Habberley Film event. They raised an impressive £1000, bringing our total above £30,000, and drawing down £10,000 match funding from the Whitley Animal Protection Trust.

Every house should have a means of collecting rain water - underground tanks - which should be the first port of call for the washing machine etc

TC is our most well developed curlew so far, but interestingly not the oldest. The team have noticed quite a wide range of difference in developmental times within the headstarted birds.

This is good - every home should have a hedgehog highway, swift boxes, bug hotels etc - no reason why not. And solar panels. Good to see:
