Yo... I need to admit something. Because this is sincere and I can promise you I’ve thought this for 30+ years. I legitimately thought when a throw was “on a line” it meant it was a flat, no more than 10 feet or so off the ground, Ichiro-Vlad-Francoeur type of missile.

So even though Bryce’s throw showed off his plus-plus arm, got there on the fly, was over 96mph, I thought because it kind of went up a little and then back down (I feel dumb even writing that now), that it wasn’t “on a line.” Really strong, on the fly, but not “on a line.”

And you guys got me wondering about it so I asked my friends who are crazy baseball fans and they all agreed with you.
So I learned something today, thanks guys.

I've seen rainbow throws and this was not one of them. Haha. I was not the happiest when you said it so nonchalantly. Keep doing your thing on SC though!

And justifiably so! It’s a hell of a throw, I’m just realizing now that I’ve been thinking about that phrase the wrong way for wayyyy too long.
