Ramaphosa did not announce a bullet train. He did not announce he is building a new city. He is saying let’s get to the point where these ideas are possibilities. Politicians seem to be missing this.
Others may argue that imagination and drawing vision boards is a luxury for those who are hungry, destitute jaded, depressed and exhausted but I'd like to argue that it starts with reimagining another way, and daring to dream before we can reach our next. @MandyWiener
President @CyrilRamaphosa has thanked DP @DDMabuza, the IMC and all advisory panel members for their hard work over an 8 month period which included hours of consultation with various sectors of society and also very deliberate and sometimes dissenting and difficult engagement.
The panel was appointed in September 2018 to support the Inter Ministerial Committee (IMC) on Land Reform chaired by the Deputy President & advise the IMC on policy matters associated with land reform, including restitution, redistribution, tenure security & agricultural support.
The Advisory Panel was chaired by Dr Vuyo Mahlathi and composed of the following members: Professor Ruth Hall, Professor Mohammed Karaan, Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, Ms Bulelwa Mabasa, Dr Thandi Ngcobo, Mr Wandile Sihlobo, Mr Daniel Kriek,Ms Thato Moagi & Mr Nick Serfontein
